During the establishment of the United States, the problems the founding fathers faced helped to form a constitution that is still followed to this day. Conditions of the country in the late 1700s and today are similar- debt, foreign threats, and unhappy people. But if the government today were to face a problem big enough to wreck the country, the United States would not be able to survive. It would not be possible to re-establish the government due to a divide among the people, the lack of dominant leaders, and the condition that the government is in.

STATES Federalists believed liberty was more secure in large republics, where government was more distant from the passions of the people and factions were larger yet weaker as a whole. They believed a bill of rights was unnecessary or even dangerous (could be construed as a finite list of rights).
There were great political parties in the Jacksonian era. The Age of Jackson, led by Andrew Jackson, president from 1829 to 1837 had a distinct sway on American politics. The pressure of the Bank War and Andrew Jackson’s imperial presidency produced a new political party to emerge, known as The Whigs. The Whigs and Jackson’s Democratic congressmen did not agree on many issues. In terms of education, Jackson democracy saw schooling in limited and local terms rather than a general priority.
Party system refers to the way parties are organized, the balance of powers between and within the parties, and the issues or ideas which the parties are organized around. The Federalist and Jeffersonian Republicans were the first party system to immerge in the seventeen nineties. The federalist focused on the concerns of New England merchants. The wanted to rebuild a relationship with Britain, assumption of debt from the revolutionary war, and programs with encouraged manufacturing. The Jeffersonian republics were run with southern agriculture in mind.
Bernie Sanders and the Democratic party share similar views on many of the issues that the United States faces. While they share the same views Sanders is generally seen as leaning more left than most of the general party 's stances. Sanders is pro choice, believes in gender and marriage equality, believes that war should be a last resort option, believes that we should continue our fight with ISIS but the majority of the work should be done by the Muslim nations and we should use coalitions and not try to do it all by ourselves, Sanders wants to make public colleges tuition and debt free, and he wants to have more taxes on the billionaire class, and make them pay their fair share. The Populists of the late 1800s proved to be a significant liberal movement since their ideals contradicted with the common conservative beliefs in the time period. Composed of former members of the Grange and the Farmers’ Alliance, the Populist Party formed as a result of the economic problems farmers faced in the Gilded Age. Farmers blamed their debt troubles on several powerful forces. Railroad companies overcharged for shipping and farmers faced the extremely high McKinley Tariff which made it more expensive to buy an item harder to sell crops. The farmers’ financial woes led them to develop liberal beliefs and solutions and promote the preservation of the small farming way of life during a time when the nation was becoming more industrial.

In a highly competitive, controversial race filled with fake smiles and harsh glares, those votes made all the difference in the world to these two men and their running mates. Because George Washington refused a second term, political parties took root when election time came around. No one knew that this election in the early stages of Americas development would define the future of the United States of America.
The political ideologies found in both the Texas Republican Party and Texas Democratic Party mirror those found on the national level. In summation, the Republican Party of Texas focuses on increasing economic freedoms while limiting those of a personal nature, while the Texas Democratic Party has a platform based on limiting economic freedom and increasing personal freedom. Because of this, both parties come to differing conclusions as to the role government should play in society. This divide emanates from the perceived origin of such laws, and the role man has to play in interpreting and shaping them.
We see Democrats and Republicans as two different parties with different views but at one point in time they were one single party called Democrats-Republicans. They were organized by James Madison and Thomas Jefferson in 1791. While this party was established there were only four presidents who made office during this time and they were Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, and Quincy Adams. What the Democrats-Republicans job was to go against the Federalist Party when elections came around. After the war in 1812 the Federalist Party lost most of its supporters and ended up disbanding.

The modern Democrats are historically descended from the Democratic-Republican Party that Jefferson himself organized to thwart the ambitions of Alexander Hamilton (although, ironically, they were known as "Republicans" in Jefferson 's time). Democrats around the country annually celebrate Jefferson-Jackson Dinners, avowedly declaring a connection between Jefferson and the modern Democratic Party. But Republicans claim that their platform of small government and low taxes is more in line with true Jeffersonian philosophy than that of the big-government Democrats.

With each party having a biased view it shows how a group can be increasingly powerful with bountiful amounts of support, names and divisions can be heard.
