Hope whispers try it one more time.”(Quote from unknown author).Upon analyzation, Lord of The Flies and Macbeth have shown hope as a strong theme that both books display. Hope in the two books can be seen as a strong motivator for major events soon leading the profession of hope. Hope is portrayed in three different ways in the two books. The three ways it's depicted in both books are through similar hopes for a better life, similar hopes for society, and a differing kind of inspiration of hope.

A likewise thought manifested in the mind of timid Malcolm who had grown into a leader who feared not for his own life anymore but for the lives of the people his father was about to entrust in his care before his untimely death. Malcolm wished to save his people from the tyrannical leader, Macbeth. Siward’s words in the play, “Your eye in Scotland would create soldiers, make our women fight, to doff their dire distresses”. Here, Siward’s words mean that Malcolm’s presence in Scotland would encourage the people to fight and even women would take part to get rid of Macbeth. This line instills confidence and hope in Malcolm as he assures Siward and they set off on their way to defeat Macbeth. Similarly, Malcolm’s perspective of the world as an easy place to fight and defeat enemies is shared by Piggy in Lord Of The Flies. When Simon dies, Jack’s tribe react as if nothing had gone wrong. They go on with their lives while Ralph and Piggy turn out to be the only one who acknowledges the death of the boy. As Ralph panics while tellings Piggy that Simon’s death was murder, Piggy consoles him by saying that “ ‘It was an accident’, said Piggy suddenly, ‘that's what it was. An accident.’[.....] ‘Coming in the dark- he had no business crawling like that out of the dark. He was batty. He asked for it’”. One intense influencer in Macbeth’s life was Lady Macbeth. She was one of the main reasons Macbeth did what he did. Her courage and incitement are very clear in the books, especially by her words, "screw your courage to the sticking place, and we'll not fail". This shows how Lady Macbeth was one of the main causes of Macbeth's hopes to be king. This instigation from her part leads to the rest of the plot of the book happening and also her own death. Thus, because of Lady Macbeth instillation of hope in Macbeth, it caused the conflicts of the novel to take place. In contrast, Jack from Lord of The Flies is also a similar leader to Macbeth but their differences begin when Macbeth is too dependant on Lady Macbeth. While Jack is a self-sufficing leader who doesn’t want to obey anyone else's ideas but his own. He is very powerful and also equally savageous. What Jack doesn’t have is strong influencer during his time on the island. Most of his ideas come from himself and once he got the tribe under his rule, he had the power to do as he wished and no one could control
