3. Theism:
Theism contains three main belief systems- Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. These three do not have similar belief styles with each other.
a. First, Judaism is an absolute being- this means that there is/was an actual person that these followers believe him to be. Followers of Judaism only believe that there is one holy god and he is wise, unlike others were they believe it is a spirit of some sort. Furthermore, worshipers believe that they can have a personal relationship with god and believe they can talk directly to this person. The human being of Judaism- it is an image of ONE god that is a real person, which throughout scripture a physical image has been talked about. Worshipers have free will to make their own chooses in life. The good and the evil objectives are predetermined by god and he states what falls under each category, “the evil comes from the bad things in life” that are frowned upon by god. Second, Christianity- it is similar to Judaism however, there are some differences. Christianity believes that there is an absolute being, with one god the holy. He is logical and he “is good, is love, and is wise.” In Christianity good is the unity and there are three people in one tri- unity. The god that is one is known as the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. God can be known on a personal level, this can be experienced be spiritual feelings. Humans are the highest in the image of go, and individuals have the right to free will. The good and evil within christianity is determined by gods essence, and what is stated in the ten commandments. These commandments state what specifically a person should and should not do.
