In WIlliam Shakespeare's play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo express his emotions towards Juliet in Act I scene v as shown in the song You're beautiful by James Blunt. Before this scene Romeo's cousin Benvolio sees Romeo in the forest early in the morning crying. Later on Benvolio tries to find out why his cousin was so upset and finds out that he's in love with a women that doesn't love him back. In Act I scene v Romeo,Benvolio, and Mercutio are going to the capulet party to try and help Romeo forget about Rosaline. Little did Benvolio and Mercutio know the only reason Romeo agreed to going to the party was so he could see Rosaline. Although Romeo is still thinking of Rosaline he catches feelings for Juliet which is humorous because either way he was chasing a capulet girl and “In a crowded place” out of everyone that was in front of him, Juliet is the one that he notices. “She was with another man” even though he does recognize that there is a man with Juliet he doesn’t seem to care and wants to get to know her no matter what. When it says “My love is pure” means that this love if for real, that he has never felt the way he feels until now which is interesting considering he claimed to be in love with Rosaline. Another example that show the song lyrics connect to this scene is “ We shared a moment that will last till the end/ I got a plan”. The moment they shared was the moment in which they couldn't keep each other's hands of one another and were making out. When it says I got a plan it goes back to Romeo trying to get her to kiss him. At first it seems as if she wouldn't kiss him but in the end she does. A final example the song connects to the scene is “Your beautiful/ cause i'll never be with
