The high-school play Of Mice and Men directed by Dr. Mike Mikulics presents George and Lennie, the two protagonists, who failed to achieve their goal of purchasing a piece of land because of encountering problems at the ranch they worked at. The director illustrates that some dreams are nearly impossible to conquer, therefore having a plan B would ensure some success. The actors and actress executes the play Of Mice and Men magnificently through their ability to act, maintaining the audience’s interest, and the storyline.
THE SETTING The novel is set in London around 1994. Most parts of the book takes place in the house of Will Freeman and in the house of Fiona. POINT-OF-VIEW the uneven chapters are narrated from Marcus’ point-of-view, while the even chapters are narrated from Will’s point-of-view. Besides the even and the uneven chapters, is the story also written in third person.
Of Mice and Men might be an old story but it stays true to its theme of friendship and conflict. In Of Mice and Men it's really about two men, Lennie and George who are faced with lots of obstacles because of their outside appearances but internally they are very opposite to their body shapes from first glance. Lennies this big tough guy but on the inside he struggles from day to day life because of his mental disability. George is vice versa just because he is small doesn't account to anything George tends to want things his way and has more of a restricted personality but Lennie and George have something in common they both have each others backs like a true friendship. Steinbeck's “ Lennie, who had been watching, imitated George exactly.
Some of the hardest decisions are the most important ones. This is shown by George in Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. The story takes places in the 1930s during the Great Depression in the Salinas Valley in California. It is about two men who are migrant workers and are looking for a job. One of these men is a huge guy with an undeveloped mind, and the other a small guy, but smart.
In John Steinbeck's novel Of Mice and Men he describes two characters, Slim and Curley's wife. Steinbeck uses imagery to portray the negative and positive differences between the two characters. The character Slim is relatively shown in a majestic light, hence "the prince of the ranch". But in opposition to this Curley's wife was depicted as having hair like "sausages" with "rouged lips", not at all similar to royalty. Another main contrast is that while Slim's character description was more directed towards his persona, Curley's wife had an introduction based on her appearance.
In the novella, Of Mice and Men, the author John Steinbeck illustrates a ranch in the 1930’s during the great depression where those who fit into mainstream society run the show, and those deemed “outcasts” are rendered useless. I read the book one night, so excited to finish the story. Later in the week, I began to watch the film version, expecting the amazing detail the novel had. However, I was devastated to see that the movie did not convey the same description and connection between characters. The disrespected woman had drastic changes from the novel to the film. Comparison of the responsible guy in the movie and publication is very different.

Harris and Me is about an eleven year old boy, who has to spend the summer with his relatives on their family farm. He goes to his relatives because of his parents issue with alcohol. After two days of being at his relatives he feels like he has ate more food than he has in the last two weeks. He has a lot to learn about living on a farm, like when he was behind Vivian (a very mean cow) and he got kicked in the face. Harris is a rude person that likes to make fun of people, he made his cousin wrestle pigs in the mud and called the pigs commie japps.
