Steve Jobs is considered a transformation leader of Apple by the mainstream media. Wasylyshyn describes him as a visionary and brilliant but failed in communication with staff and having atrocious behavior toward other. Gladwell describes him as egotistical and self-centered. Steve Jobs was able to transform Apple but Glawell states that he “moved threw the behavioral continuum between Remarkable and Perilous to a demoralizing Toxic behavior”. Both authors give a negative perception of Jobs but they don’t deny that he revolutionized Apple. Reading about Jobs and how he treated others and his egocentric behavior I don’t think he was a transformational leader by the way he acted towards other at the end of his career.
