Everyone faces struggles in their lives. Whether it is with school, work, family, friends, or relationships, everyone faces fights throughout their lives, easy or difficult. These struggles can help us find out more about ourselves; they can make us more aware of where our strengths lie, and our weaknesses, which brings us one step closer to improving our habits and traits to become better people. “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen R. Covey is a non-fiction “self-help” book where Covey presents an approach to effectiveness that centers on principles and character. “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens” by Sean Covey is a different version of the same book that is directed solely towards teens. Both books mention 7 habits that lead the reader through three stages: dependence, independence, and interdependence. Despite both books discussing the same subject, the style of writing is different due to the change in audience the book is directed to.
