Throughout this assignment, each student was to independently examine the growth and expansion of two multinational companies in certain locations. During this analysis, the class was to access the effects of current trends in global business activity and economic activity. For the assessment, The Coca-Cola Company and The Walt Disney Company were the two enterprises that were investigated. These companies have had a large impact on the world economy and on the cultures of several countries. It began at a small office in 1923, where Walt and Roy Disney founded The Walt Disney Company in Los Angeles. The company began to gain popularity with a short animated series called the Alice Comedies which branched off from the original Alice’s Wonderland. From there, the Disney brothers invested in more staff and a new studio in the Silver Lake district of Los Angeles (“The Walt Disney Studios”, 2016).
