Tyler Rico 5/9/17 Section 2 DBQ Essay During the times leading up the 1500s Christianity and Islam both had different views on merchants and their craft with people from both faiths having varying degrees of opinions on it. Trade increased dramatically after the Mongols came into power and secured the Silk Roads making trade a lot more profitable and a lot less dangerous. This made the issue of trading come to light even more as it became more prevalent in people's everyday life. After the fall of the Mongols western nations raced to find new ways around the Silk Road as they did not want to trade through Muslim controlled land.
In their non-fundamentalist forms, Judaism, Christianity and Islam teach high moral values and ethical living. Judaism, Christianity and Islam are three of the maximum influential world religion in records. Judaism (the religion of Jews), Christianity and Islam (the religion of Muslims) are once in a while known as Abrahamic religions, because all three religions educate that Abraham was the patriarch and ancestor of the Jews and Muslims. Christianity and Islam are two very different but also very similar religions. They both share some beliefs, like a monotheistic god, hell and heaven, and prophets for said god. But they also view traders with similar and different attitudes, like how they viewed selling an item for more than it is worth. They both believed that trading was unjust due to its methods of dishonesty and bribery. Traders are the backbone of history and the way they are viewed by the 2 biggest belief systems in the world is also important.

Between the 0 C.E and 1500 C.E, Christianity and Islam emerged as one of the world’s most influential religions and trade within the Muslim and Christian world began to flourish and be transformed .These religions spread vastly into different regions and was able to convert a lot of cultures into their religions. In the Byzantine Empire in Europe around 0 C.E to 1500 C.E Christianity believed that trading was sinful. On the other hand in the Middle East and West Africa in around 600 C.E. to 1500 C.E. Islam believed that trade should be embraced.
Theres many religions to pick from but today i'm focusing on Islam and Christianity. Christianity first started in mexico and originated in the middle east. Islam was spread to African societies by religious leaders integrating in society. Christianity and Islam still influences us today. The Jewish and the Christian religions have similar prophets such as moses and Abraham who for the Jewish beliefs is “the first patriarch and is an ancestor fo the Jews” (DiYanni) He is also considered by both religions to be the founding father of the covenant, which was an agreement between God and the people. Like the Jewish and the Christians the Islamic also have a prophet who they believe in, this prophet is Muhammad as well as Jesus. For the Islamic beliefs “Muhammad was Gods messenger and he received revelations from Allah which lasted more than twenty years” (DiYanni). All of these prophets are very important to each of these three religions because thanks to them their beliefs, faith, and relationship with God
Christianity started after virgin Mary gave birth to baby jesus. He later grew up and was shared ot the world, he went all over spreading the word of the lord. He healed the sick and did incredible things. When he died he died for the people so everyone could have eternal life.

It may also suggest the role of the different impacts to which each was exposed (Black 2011). The Caliph is the successor of the God’s messenger – Omar was the landmark figure in Islamic history as he dictated how a Caliph should be chosen (Al-Jazeera, 2016). It was during his reign that most of the conquests had occurred (Al-Jazeera,2016). He was the founder of the institutions of the state, and during his reign, the Islamic state had developed an administrative system, a regular army, garrison cities, political and judiciary systems (Al-Jazeera, 2016).
Christianity and Islam are the two largest religions in the world, with 2.1 Billion and 1.3 Billion followers respectively. Each had their own rise, golden age, and eventual large-scale split. However, each religion spread in different regions of the world in different ways and developed their own traditions and structures. Christianity and Islam have similarities such as a large-scale split and a history of spreading through popular trade routes, while simultaneously having many differences such as where the two religions spread, the methods in which they spread, and the structure of their religious leaderships. One of the primary differences between the spread of Islam and Christianity is the directions in which they spread.
Judasism and early islam are similar relgions, that were seperated with one diffrence belief that is while islam viewed mohammed as a prophet of god judasim on the other hand disowned muhammed( stillman 10). Morever another religion named chrisitianity prayed and considered jesus as the son of god however judasim disagreed by claiming jesus was merely a prophet god and that there is only and only one god. Their realtionship between the rise of christianty and judaism is similar to the relationship between islam and judasim as the all share the same god but just different prophets. The story of judaism and early islam begins when Muhammad arrived in Medina, muhammed started to preach the word of allah around Medina, his followers started to increase daily.

Even though these religions came from the same region, each one is unique and different from the other. For example, the founder for Christianity is Jesus Christ. However, Muhammad is the founder of Islam and the founder of Judaism is Abraham. Additionally, all three religions believe that there is one single god, but each one has their own believe.
Ancient Religion Kathleen Yarbrough Post University October 1, 2017 Ancient Religion Islam and Christianity both originally came from the Middle East, and both have many differences and similarities. I believe that Christianity was the first to come about in the 5th or 6th century, then Islam came about in the 7th century, it is hard to tell what information is correct and what is not because much of the information is conflicting. I do believe from all the information that I read that this piece of information was correct, the Islam people believed that if you do something wrong you pay, and the Christians were more passive and believed in forgiveness. Both Islam and Christians believe in hell. "
Muslim beliefs about right and wrong Islam and Christianity share a lot of similar ideas, however, in many ways they contradict each other too. Muslims (the name given to the people who practise Islam) belive in a book called the Quran. They belive that God had verbaly reveald it to Muhammad through the angel Gabriel. Over a period of aproximatly 23 years Muhhamad had finished the book. The Quran displays a guidance on how to act in specific situiations and teaches life lessons, similarily the BIble does the same expressing views on how we should live our daily lives and what actions to take in certain situations.
Catholic Christianity vs. Islam’s Understanding of Jesus Christ Who is Jesus Christ? This is a universal question, which intrigues many people of different races, nationalities and religions. Jesus Christ is the central figure of Christianity, which makes him globally known because Christianity is the largest practicing religion in the world. Furthermore, the two most popular and universalizing world religions are Catholic Christianity and Islam because they have “beliefs and appropriateness that appeal to populations worldwide” (Wiley p.178).
Christianity and Islam share many similarities with a few fundamental differences. Both religions follow monotheism, though in Islam it is much stricter. Jesus and Gabriel are focal points for Christianity and Islam respectively. God and Allah stand for the same higher power and basis for religion. In Islam, the five pillars are the main difference just as Mary is the mother of Jesus and the beginning of the Christian religions teachings.
