Socialists, Communists & Anarchists
In 1848, democracy as it was formerly known in the western part of the world was transformed forever. A group of passionate individuals known as radical democrats challenged democracy and the involvement of government control in society. Radical democrats began to disagree with one another and as a result split even further into three groups of passionate thinkers. The one similarity all of these groups share is their passion towards how the government is involved in the everyday citizen’s life. As far as all other details are concerned, communists, socialists and anarchists disagree with each other in many different ways.
Socialists
Socialists were a group of radical democrats who believed in sharing the wealth of all profits amongst all individuals. Although socialists stood against capitalism and believed in the diversity of common wealth, they did not exactly advocate for the government to have complete control over the disbursement of wealth. Communism supported the distribution of wealth equally among all peoples of all social classes. In fact, communists sought for the government to have complete control of the economy.
