I made sure to continually highlight the overarching theme of the program throughout the cover letter, citing the program’s philosophy as mentioned in my previous Competitive Intelligence report: “The Master's degree program provides individuals interested in the medical field with the opportunity to enrich their understanding of medicine, public health, social justice, and the interpersonal aspects of patient care, as well as equip current and aspiring healthcare professionals and practitioners with the knowledge and information required to improve patient outcomes” (Columbia, 2017).
