Letter of Intent to Concordia University
Ddear Sir or Madame:
Based upon the information presented by Concordia University as it pertains to the M Ed. Online/Curriculum Program, I am persuaded that the successful completion of this program will equip me with the skills to achieve my goal as an online instructor as well as a seminar presenter. To explain a bit, during the past five years I not only earned two degrees as an online student, but I have had the honor to work with committed professors who consistently inspired me by employing proven theories and best practices in academia. I aspire to follow in the footsteps of my previous instructors and give back to the educational community by implementing sound didactic principles intended to produce stellar student outcomes, fuel individual passions, and augment the confidence required to achieve ones dreams. Yet another reason I am attracted to online teaching is the portability factors of this vocation, in particular as it relates to location and time. However, as I focus on this admissions project, I consider the M Ed. Program as a key component to my success. That said, I expect my immediate challenges will be learning to navigate Concordia’s campus web-site, and establishing an efficient study schedule. Although I have years of experience as an online student, I do not take these tasks lightly as I know from past experience start-ups always present a unique set of unexpected challenges and each university has its own culture to which every new student must come to be familiar. Qualities such as flexibility, tenacity, and asking the right questions has help me to overcome challenges in the past.
