Coraline is a story about a lonely young girl who has just moved into a very old house with her inattentive parents. Her mother is a strict woman who does not like to be bothered. Her father is always too busy writing on his computer to spend time with Coraline. The fact that the rickety old building that they live in is located in the middle of nowhere adds an eerie element to the story. The house was split up into three different apartments. Living above her and her parents is a crazy old man whose name is Mr. Bobo. Mr. Bobo runs a mouse circus and is very athletic. Although he is a bit frightening and he smells of old cheese, Coraline is very amused with him.Below them are two retired actresses, Miss Spink and Miss Forcible. She seemed rather depressed about it. She was faced with new friends, new school, new home, and new neighbors. Even though Coraline didn't enjoy their new home, she still loved to explore. She would explore the woods surrounding their home, and she would explore the home itself.One day when her mother and father were busy with work, Coraline found a small door.
