The Organisations core values: Are they supported by the employees? are they relevant to the expectations of shareholders, employees and other stakeholders? Core values can relate to the beliefs and ethics of the company as well as behaviour and skills they have. These core values can have fundamental effects when attracting consumers and stakeholders, making difficult decisions and how they will invest in resources for the company, the employees and consumers.

Employee satisfaction levels: what is the current rate of staff turnover? how does it compare with past figures? what about absenteeism and health and safety accident and illness statistics? are staff satisfied with their work, work conditions and with their remuneration? does the organisations culture make a positive contribution toward the support of innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship and improvement? In order to ensure that the workplace remains efficient and happy, the employees must remain satisfied within the workplace. Resource use: Are the organisations resources sufficient and being used effectively? are the processes that enable resource distribution effective? can more innovative use be made of resources? All resources within the organisation must be utilised effectively to ensure optimum results, training can be offered to help those understand and preform the task or use the equipment properly. This will also reduce losses to the organisation including money and time and can reduce the risk of injury when the use of equipment is used incorrectly.
