Cover Letter: A Career As An Athletic Assistant

I am writing to inform you of my interest in continuing my education through Bethel University’s Master of Business Administration Healthcare Administration program. I graduated from Union University in May of 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. After graduation I worked for Unique Properties, a local real estate company, as an office assistant. During my time at Unique Properties, I had several responsibilities that included creating budgets, working with different databases, and keeping records. I left Unique Properties when I received my state licensure to be an athletic trainer in the state of Tennessee a few months after graduation. Athletic training has taught me to understand medical terminology, time management, and strategic planning. Both professions combined showed me the importance of being patient when dealing with the public. I believe my experience working in a business office along with my current position in healthcare will help make me a better healthcare administrator. I have discovered a few business philosophies that have benefited me in the past and will continue to be motivational in the future. It is important to always be honest with yourself and others. My first job as an athletic trainer has given me many opportunities to learn new things and develop my professional skills. I have gained more confidence in my skills and myself. This is something that I had struggled with as an undergraduate, and I am thankful that Sports Plus has given me the opportunity to grow in this area.
