#10. J.R. Richard Suffers Stroke On Field Houston Astros pitching ace J. R. Richard collapsed during a rehab stint, at the Astrodome, on July 30, 1980. Thje Astros put Richard on the DL when he felt numbness and his arm “go dead” during a July 14 game against the Braves. For two weeks he felt lingering pain and tightness. He complained to the training staff and sought medical advice, but Richard said that his concerns fell on deaf ears.

On July 30, 2008, a bloody battle involving Coalition forces took place in the mountainous eastern Afghan province of Nuristan. This was the Battle of Wanat and the devastating amount of Coalition casualties began a vigorous investigation by the United States Army. Officer Penrose volunteered to be assigned the Tactical Operations Center (TOC) when he came to the unit. This vehicle is the largest and houses the most equipment of any of the vehicles assigned to the unit. Maintaining the TOC includes the monthly inspection, maintenance, documenting and replenishing the inventory as well as the operation of the vehicle. Officer Penrose also maintains, inspects and recharges the electronics assigned to the unit. Officer Penrose completes his inspections in a timely manner and advises me of the complications with the equipment and the status of our inventory on a regular basis.
Due to his ability to quickly adapt to the environment, Sergeant Jasmin was immediately identified by the partnered Target Office of Primary Interest (TOPI) as an extremely capable analyst and was entrusted with mission development that is normally reserved for more seasoned National Security Agency (NSA) analysts.
