She supervised the tracking, execution, drafting and routing of all operational directives affecting the Combat Mission Team's mission. She effectively managed and led the completion of duties including: assessing cyber plans, assessing intelligence, remaining cognizant with the missions and priorities of the CMT, developing and updating OPPLANS, CONOPs, CTOs, MISREPs, courses of action, and integrating command and external capabilities. Additionally, she provided sage advice during the regular review of military, political-military, scientific and technical developments, intelligence information, and data analysis in order to conduct effective planning and identify operational gaps associated with the CMT. Captain Kappus conducted all manpower management functions for operators and analysts in the operations section of the team. She expertly developed and managed the team's daily operations schedule and efficiently paired the best mix of operators and analysts best suited for specific mission sets. Due to her steadfast dedication to operations, her keen ability to solve complex problems, and her extensive technical expertise, she was chosen to staff a mission management role within the Cyber Tactical Operations Center (C-TOC). In this role, she provided critical leadership, input and approval of all missions being submitted for execution by Marine Corps CMF teams under JTFH-C Marines and JTF-ARES. No tactical operations could be conducted by these teams without her oversight and risk assessment approvals.
