Criminal Investigators and Special Agents investigate alleged or suspected criminal violations. Every detective is helpful by being in the spot of helping the community to become a better and safer place for the people. Detectives play an important role in our lives by giving up their time investigating and making every case right. Thinking about a future job I came to realize that the choice I’m sticking up to is being part of becoming a detective. In this research project I am looking forward on finding more information about my career and how it will benefit me and or how it will not benefit me.

These situations can cause an emotional toll for detectives. Some detectives are wounded due to criminals who may do anything to not get arrested.
• Log Hours: You may work throughout the whole day at any time needed and you may also have to work on different hour shifts.
• Rate Demands for Detectives: Statistics have shown that through the years of 2012-2022 the average percentage for Detectives will expand to increase for 5%, which is slower than average.
Both of these pros and cons will affect me as a detective both in a positive and a negative way because from what I found out the main point of being a detective is more of a challenge mainly because the demands for detectives will only rise for a 5% and of course you are risking your life both in the job and outside the job. To become a detective one must first start as an officer then they have to follow and pass a required written test. Other specialized jobs for detectives include to find missing persons, organized crimes, auto theft, robbery, homicide, vice, computer crime, arson, surveillance, fraud, juvenile crime, sexual assault and many more. These facts are interesting because becoming a detective now sounds more complicated and dangerous but at the same time I am willing to go throughout all this danger to save someone else.
