On 09/04/2016 at 2059 hours, your Affiant was dispatched to 442 Furnace Street for a theft that was just discovered. The caller stated her debit card was stolen and the individual who stole her debit card is Crystal Blackwell. Your Affiant and Officer Pastucka arrived to the address provided to speak with the caller Dawn Strong. Dawn said Crystal Blackwell stole her debit card on Friday or Saturday and she and her husband just realized it after viewing a summary of their bank account. Numerous transactions occurred depleting their checking account causing money from their savings to be automatically transferred over. *****VICTIMS said the debit card was stolen Friday (09/02/2016) or on Saturday (09/03/2016). Dawn said on Friday she went shopping to buy school clothes and supplies for her child and Crystal Blackwell went along. Blackwell returned on Saturday the following day as well. Dawn related that when she is at home she has her purse next to the couch which is where her debit card is located. She believes Blackwell stole the debit card from her purse while inside her house. The last transaction Dawn made with her debit M&T Bank card was Friday 09/02/2016 at the business Crazy 8's. A bank statement detailing the recent debit card transactions from their bank account revealed Thirty (30) unauthorized purchases with the total value being $2395.80. *****I requested Joseph and Dawn to contact their bank as soon as possible and have them generate an itemized report establishing the amount, dates, times, and businesses involved with the transactions since the theft. Your Affiant also instructed Joseph and Dawn to immediately contact their bank to advise them of the theft so the card could no longer be used.
