The Wild One “The Wild One” written by art historian Ellen Landau focuses on the psyche of post World War 2 American society and how Jackson’s Pollock’s influence was able to shatter the conventions of an “American hero”, simultaneously bringing about change to what is considered to be an acceptable approach to picture making. Landau’s article begins by asking the question “is he the greatest living painter in the United States?” , she lays this as the platform for her central argument, linking this argument by thoroughly evaluating Pollocks deep rooted personality traits which brought about his own unique style of art making. I am also inspired by the methodologies in this book. The author surveys and quotes a considerable amount of private diaries/letters, as well as newspapers, magazines, and theater advertisements. The amount of work that the author did to convey his argument is impressed. And fist hand materials, including diaries, advertisements, and news reports are more convincing and easier to be understood. This methodology helps a wider reader group to digest the author 's argument, which is especially helpful for readers that have little knowledge on art history or the history of America.

Banning books violates our 1st amendment, but some books contain graphic materials such as sexual content and various types of profanity that explains why books should be banned. Since it affects every people’s life, it is a hard task for us, aspiring teachers to be the artisan of the Filipino youth for we are the one who will mould their character and through this powerful tool, we can be able to manage smoothly if we have enough knowledge about this. Popular culture and fictional entertainment media have an enormous influence on society. Whether in the genre of television sitcom or drama, or fictional stories in popular film, the entertainment media teach us something about ourselves as we map new meaning onto our own experience based on what we see and relate to; for good or for ill, it also teaches us a lot about others through fictional means (Tisdell, 2004).
