In the article, “Darkness Too Visible” Meghan Cox Gurdon argues that kid’s books are filled with abuse and depravity. Gordon states that the books including violence and not having a happy end could create images of damage rather than joy hopes to kids. In addition, she claims that some of novels could create positive suggestion to kids who had same experience, but it’s not always true. Last, the author suggests that parents have the responsibility to be careful to choose books for children. Therefore, I agree with Gordon that parents should be concerned about entertainment for children for many reasons. One reason that parents should be concerned about entertainment for children is it could bring negative suggestions to kids. Kids could receive wrong suggestions from watching movies. For example, I saw the news on TV. Several 10-year-old kids stole people’s wallet and then caught by police. When the police asked them why they stole people’s wallet, those kids said that they were trying to help the poor people. They said they have watched a movie “A World Without Thieves” that talks about two great thieves helped the poor people by stealing rich people’s money. Recently, many Japanese animes contain a large number of violent content but the violent and bloody animes are popular among kids. To illustrate, I have watched a popular Japanese anime “Attack on Titan.” It shows a giant human that eats humans. It was very great, but it contains too many bloody and violent scenes in the anime. My friend’s little brother have watched it too. After he watched the anime, he was excited about blood. He started to throw things hard and became irritable. I felt he has tendency of doing violence. For this reason, parents should prevent the violent and bloody animes from impacting kids’
