Imagine graduating from the college of your dreams, eagerly anticipating the start of your dream career. There’s a job opening and you and someone in a similar situation as your own apply, however, they get hired over you because they happened to have a higher degree. Is it fair for workplaces to hire solely on credentials? Human capital affects the way we look at each other and evaluate one another as human beings. There are many components to it; however, they are often narrowed down to only skill and knowledge. A person’s social and moral capital would make them more successful in the work field than his or her knowledge and skill.
