I disagree with Professor David Rappoport 's theory that terrorism occurs in "waves" associated with particular social movements or revolutions. There will always be groups or individuals that are willing to fight and die for their ideals, morals, and religious beliefs. There will also be groups or individuals that want to impose their groups or individualized views onto the public around them. The reason that we see these spikes or "waves" is because of the media coverage on the subject. There are always deaths and attacks and bombings and other steady ongoing attacks going on throughout the world on the hour almost.
