Have you ever been hopeful for something that exceeds what you already have? You would do anything to make that one thing in your life better. Some people are like that and do whatever they can do to make it happen and some people simply just hope for it to happen there whole life. You will never understand why other people hope for what they are hopeful for. It’s like, always wanting more than you have and you have to do something big about it to make the littlest thing happen.
Our biggest event was when we hosted a carnival for our school’s Yo-Hi Day (end of the year field day event). We hosted a variety of different activities for students to do such as a joust-stick battle, a bouncy house obstacle course, a dunk tank, and more. The day of the event was the easiest to manage, but the process of making it happen was a challenge. I’ve realized that a lot of things goes on behind the scenes, and sometimes people are not aware of that because what they see are the results. A lot of things happened during the process like; making sure all the supplies came in on time, figuring out the quantity and the type of food we should get for the snack bar, who is available to supervise each activity, and what’s plan B if the snow
No one in this society is allowed to be what they want in life. They aren’t allowed to have goals.
A wise person once said, ¨Life has an irony all its own. What you wish for. You get but you discover that it's not what you want¨(Connolly,np). You might want something but at the end you're most likely to regret it.
People’s desires can vary from person to person. Some want power, others want to find the love of their lives. However, getting what we want is difficult. People can go through their entire lives not fully receive their deepest longings. Some desires have consequences that can lead to terrible ramifications.
Why are hopes, dreams, and goals so key to life? [B] The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, War Dance and, Of Mice and Men written by John Steinbeck all exhibit the spiraling effects of hope and dreams. [C] Hope provides people with a sense of wonder and curiosity to explore and think outside of the box, as shown in the previously mentioned stories. [D] Hopes, dreams, and goals push people to explore life outside of their comfort zones. [E] People like the children of northern Uganda from the film War Dance, are shown touring through new and unknown paths on their trails of life.
Day 1 After watching news on reports of extreme behavior, it is evident that news analysts and reporters overemphasize some facts or occurrences. For instance, the Orlando nightclub shooting was covered intensely whereby images of people scampering for safety were repeatedly aired. The media also used terrorism consultants and analysts who overemphasized the incidence. For instance, considering how the Orlando shooting was reported many people would believe that going to public spaces would expose one to a terrorist attack. Day 2
A lot of people "'understand what it is to strive for something... to want to be someone you're not, to want to achieve something that's just beyond reach, whether it's professional success or wealth or idealized love - or a 4.0 or admission to [UNLV]'" (Rimer 1). Wanting to achieve something can sometimes lead to the extremes. In The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Gatsby made some wrong turns in order to achieve his dreams and wealth, but still wasn't enough to be where he wanted to be. Having a green light or main goal in life may decide if someone goes in the wrong direction and ends up in the wrong place.
By Our Own Hand “There will come soft rains” Was originally a poem written by Sara Teasdale to bring forth what would happen if nuclear war devastated humanity. It was later used as inspiration by Ray Bradbury to express the same idea in a short story. Bradbury even put the poem in the short story. Both writings share the idea of humanity ending and both use figurative language to bring out emotion in readers by describing how humanity will end by our own hand. BRADBURY
However there is elements to it that do apply to my life, I am not working hard to make money and live in a big house, but I am working hard to get a good education which sets myself up for the future. Also being an athlete in playing soccer I work hard to improve my game and become the best I can be, with the goal of getting a scholarship to a university to allow an easier time for my parents to fund my education. Both of these things lead me into my future, where the desire for the American dream becomes true, wanting money and a big house; making the decision on how hard I want to work for it. I agree with the values of this dream, in order to do anything in life you have to work hard for it, it never just comes to you. That is why the American dream should be the perfect set up for life, with equal opportunity of success and prosperity that is driven by your own hard work, motivation and initiative; there is not a more fair way for life to be lived.
The wish is for them to have a gracious life because they are not always going to be there for them. That is why they make sure they grow up properly until they are satisfied. Usually parents do not care if they are successful or famous. All they want is the best for their children’s future. “We have nothing against successful careers or wealth or fame, but far more of us believe that the American Dream is about giving our kids a better life.”
The American Dream: Happiness The key to achieving the American dream is to live life happy. No matter if it is happiness with money, love, freedom, or safety all people deserve the American dream. Everyone has their own way of pursuing an "American dream". Many immigrants have come to America to pursue that dream.
The American Dream Explained What is the American Dream? James Truslow Adams stated in his book The Epic of America, that the American Dream is “that dream of a land in which life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement…” (p.214-215). The American Dream has changed from our Founding Fathers writing of the Declaration of Independence protecting our opportunity to improve our life, no matter who we are to the materialistic things that the American Dream is for some today in the year 2018.
Each person has been taught to hope, to have a dream. I always shot for the stars; I wanted to be a princess, obviously that didn’t work out though. As every individual ages his or her aspirations become more realistic; I aspire to have a stable job and a loving family. Having dreams is an important part of everyone’s lives.
I want what everybody wants, to be happy, but there is one dream that I hold on to every bit of hope so that I will one day reach this dream. I want a husband. I want to find the love of my life who treats me that that I am his whole world. I want to love this man with all I am capable of. I want to go on dinner dates, road trips, walks in the park and even a night at home, but all of this could all simply be ruined in an instant.
