On the indicated date and time I Deputy Garcia #618055 was assigned to staff station 620 at North County Correctional Facility (NCCF) when I heard a loud thud which is consistent with that of fighting. I saw Inmate Lopes, Juan #3456712 (later identified as suspect/victim 1 (S/V)) and Inmate Henry, Chuck #2345678 (late identified as suspect/victim 2 (S/V)) on the ground by the day room punching each other on their face and torso. I put a radio broadcast of a minor 415 inmates in dorm 623 with my county issued radio (minor 415 is a common radio code in our facility which indicates a fight is in progress or just occurred). I also requested additional personnel, Sergeant and Senior to my location. I ordered S/V1 Lopes and S/V2 Henry to stop fighting and they complied.
1.1 Explain why working in partnership with others is important for children and young people - it important that you work alongside others when working with young people because it is good for them to see that people do work together and to see relationships because built as well as positive outcomes coming out from working in partnership with people. It is also good because it shows them general life skills of working with and alongside other to come up with a solution. 1.2 Identify who relevant partners would be in own work setting - relevant partners would include, parents or carers of the child so that the practitioner and parent can work together to figure out what is going to suit the child best, management to see what actions and targets could be put into place and how the setting can be developed to help the childs specific needs aswell as how it could help the setting as a whole.
Crane’s short story “The Blue Hotel” is an example of naturalism because of the way he intertwines nature with his characters. For example Crane gives the wind human characteristics by descriptions like “huge arms” that were making attempts to “embrace the flakes as they sped.” He was able to stimulate emotions and human-like qualities for the raging snow storm outside. As I was reading my attention was brought to these traits while I was imagining the “long mellow cry of the blizzard” and the snow wailing as it “flung to its grave in the south”. Here he transforms the storm outside is into a chilling graveyard.

On Monday 06/27/16 at 2148 hours I was dispatched for an assault at Cedar Ridge Apartments located at 30819 124th Ave SE in the City of Auburn, King Co, WA. Dispatch advised the reporting person, Amber Archer, stated a male was hitting children with a cane. When I arrived I observed several people in a group speaking with Officer T. Minkler. Officer Minkler pointed to a male, a stated he was a possible witness and father to one of the victims.
Later, a nurse or a medical assistant calls the patient for the examination. Usually the patient is weighed by the nurse or the assistant, and might be requested for a urine sample (if required), blood pressure check, and temperature. The scale is often located at the nurse section but vital signs are taken in the examiner room and this is where the patient is inquired about the reason of the visit. The patient might be asked also about any changes in his / her chronic condition or about any new taken medications.
When I babysit, they watch how I act and talk so I want to set the best example. Due to the children constantly watching me, I know what words and actions are wrong to use in any situation. The children have taught me how to be a better person, along with me teaching them how to grow up to be an outstanding individual. Although I have several skills due to my experience with children already, I hope to improve them. There can always be improvement with any skill, even if I think I have

After this assignment I have learned that Department of Social Services provides a lot of different services to those in need. Just from hearing and reading stories those who work in the field of Social Services aren’t always given a good rep, especially those who work in Child Protective Services. From doing this interview I was pleasantly surprised as to how much work Social Workers do to provide children with a safe and stable environment. There is a lot that goes into what they do every day. I have always known I want to work with children.
As a woman, a huge fear of mine is becoming pregnant when I am not ready for children. Although I take precautionary measures, I know it can still happen. Every Canadian woman should have access to free and safe abortions in Canada. Not every pregnancy is planned and it should not be forced on people if it is unplanned. Access to free and safe abortions allows these women to continue with their lives without having to worry about finances and babies.
The career I chose to research is a Child Care Center Administrator. A Child Care Center Administrator is known to be in charge of toddler-aged programs or daycares who share the academic or non-academic requirements. He/she has to be able to love children and be able to work with them while also being able to take care of the business side of the Child Care Program. Some duties that the administrator may hold is monitoring a child’s progress of intellectual and emotional development and assist anyone who has a concern with the program or building.
I am a first year student and I was looking for opportunities to be more involved in the Ryerson community. I do have experience in volunteering at an elementary school in the Peel District School Board and I personally enjoyed my time as a volunteer in the past. As a volunteer I had the responsibilities of grading test, assisting students that had difficulty with lessons, planning activities, and supervising students to ensure a safe working environment. My previous volunteer experience has allowed me to build good communication skills with children and teachers. I want to dedicate my time to helping support the youth in our community and hopefully in the process I will be able to make a difference in a students life by helping them overcome
Work with children Throughout my high school and college years, I have had several experiences with children that have all played a part in shaping my love for working with children. During high school, I spent two summers nannying for two young school aged children. Working with these siblings really made me realize how much fun I have working with children and watching them grow. Once I came to college, I started another babysitting job working with two four year old twin girls.
This helped me a lot while I was involved in working with the children in the special needs school. Working within this environment has helped me gain a lot of confidence in myself this is because, it has proved to me that I can
The situation at the homes of the children also varies – some come from orphanages and others from loving families who accompany them to the hospital. Why is helping other people my passion? It is hard to explain, but essentially I want to be useful to the society, especially to the children who are in desperate need of attention. Coming back home from a long day at the hospital with plenty of emotions, thoughts and plans for the future feels incredible. Due to that, I wonder – do I give more or do I receive more by being a volunteer?
