One of the characters that played a big part in the death of Romeo and Juliet is Lord Capulet, father of Juliet. One of the reasons is his cruel decisions that force Juliet into doing things she doesn’t want. As such would be marrying Paris when she is clear she doesn’t want to marry him because she is already wedded to Romeo. Another reason is because of his families conflict with Romeo’s family, The Montague. Romeo belongs to the Montagues and Juliet resides to the Capulets make it seem like it would be impossible for them to fall deeply in love with one another. Mercutio provoke Tybalt which gets Romeo banished. This causes a lot of tension between the two(Romeo and Tybalt). If Tybalt wasn’t there to provoke Mercutio, Mercutio wouldn’t have fought him getting killed then leading to Romeo getting vengeance by killing Tybalt and getting banished. Another reason why is that Mercutio was the one who invited Romeo to the ball party. When Romeo is convinced and goes to the ball party, this leads to Romeo and Juliet meeting starting this whole conundrum. Last reason is Mercutio’s inability to be serious when Tybalt asks Mercutio about Romeo and Juliet. Mercutio mixes his word on purpose ticking Tybalt off. Act 3, scene 1, Mercutio says "A plague o' both your houses! I am sped. Is he gone and hath nothing?" He curses the families leading to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.
