A defining moment is, a significant time in one’s life that defines something, such as a person’s success or failure, or even an achievement. It is a point in one 's life where you take a step closer to who you are supposed to be. Not all defining moments are positive, however, in the end it is your decision whether those moments benefit you or hurt you. My defining moment came unexpectedly at a baseball game in Deer Creek, Oklahoma. The Yukon Millers were playing and it was a beautiful day outside. In what felt like a split second I woke up on the ground surrounded with players parents that were sitting so close me. In a short while medics had arrived and I was being carried out of the game in a stretcher. I was told that I had severely fainted during the game and my lips had turned blue from the lack of oxygen to my brain. In what I thought was a split second had actually been minutes. I was taken to the Children’s Center Hospital Emergency Room to try and identify what happened. Once I was admitted to the Emergency Room I took multiple tests focusing on my heart, brain, and body. I had to change my diet to mainly water intake and eating salt on all my food to decrease my likelihood of fainting. I started to establish my priorities as family, volunteering, and making intentional relationship with people. Once I started focusing on those things I started to realize who I am and want to grow to be. I started actively volunteering at school and in my community and I realized I always want to be a servant leader to others. So I then began working at a daycare and using my ability to relate to kids, in my volunteer work.
