An intense feeling of deep affection. This may be the definition of love according to Google, but thinking about love on a holy and deeper level, I have come to a conclusion that love means more. In this world, love has become a word that has not been used with the proper definition or the way that God intended it to be used. Love to me is a feeling of absolute adoration towards a person, it gives hope to all, and more open to God.

The first thing that I think love means is absolute adoration. In the verse, I Corinthians 13:4, they say “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.” This verse is used at weddings to show what true love is and how it supposed to be used. This sacrament unites a man and a woman in marriage. Marriage gives us children. As Catholics, we welcome all children as a gift from God. Love is a gift from God that shouldn’t be used in a disrespectful way. Love is special and sometimes is used like it is an ordinary object, but it is more than that. Love isn’t just between two people, but can also be between you and God.
