What is love? The definition of love is,”A profound tender, passionate affection for another person.” In an opinion of many, love is something that all living things have and need. In the novel Anthem by Ayn Rand, everyone has been changed and they do not know what is it like to love. But in Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut, they do have love and families.
Every day, we hear the term ‘love’ in several different situations. So, what is love? According to Shakespeare, in sonnet 116 - The first quatrain describes love as an unchangeable force in the lines “Love is not love / Which alters when it alteration finds, / Or bends with the remover to remove: / O no! it is an ever-fixed mark.” Shakespeare enforces the fact that true love always perseveres, no matter what it’s up against by using the metaphor, “That looks on tempests and is never shaken” in the second quatrain.
What is love? According to Google the term is defined as “an intense feeling of deep affection”. Each person has their own idea of what love truly means. The emotion of love can range from caring about one another as a good friend might to the love a mother has for her child which is a deep and immeasurable connection. However, others who view a loving relationship that two people have can get feelings of jealousy which can create a sense of instability or chaos in a controlled society.
Deep, intense, and long-lasting individuals use love to express their true emotions. Love is the passionate affection and desire felt by lovers for each other. While love can be so powerful, it is also demanding. Love is unique, love is special. Whether it is the impacts, love and an addiction both have on the body to how they change a person or to how they make a person feel, love is an addiction.
Love, by definition, is feeling a deep affection for someone or something. Longing for love is a natural desire. The feeling of being loved is naturally something people crave. People strive to feel accepted and assured of themselves. Love, however, is just a feeling.

Love could possibly be one of the most desirable feeling one could get. Most humans grow up watching their parents live a love fulfilled life, wanting to duplicate what they have.
Love is working things out, no matter how hard it is because you would rather endure the pain of working things out with them than endure the pain of a life without them in your life. Love is missing them so much it hurts to breathe without them. Love is waking up next to them and seeing them vulnerable and honest and fragile and still wanting them anyway. Love is choosing to love them even when they arent so lovable, ESPECIALLY then. Love isnt always going to be pretty but after a while, you realize that you have to have the ugly side of love to cherish the beautiful and etraordinary side of love.
