It took dedication, hardship, and the lives of many to gain our independence. Liberty gives us equal rights and the capability to have the same potential
Life and Liberty “Free people, remember this maxim: we may acquire liberty, but it is never recovered if it is once lost.” - Jean-Jacques Rousseau. Freedom is a widely sought after commodity but is hard to acquire. Many people and nations throughout history have tried to gain their freedom.
Freedom is a type of living that everyone in the world would appreciate having. Some people live in a communist country or a country where freedom do not exist and everything is controlled by the government. With many rules and regulations proposed by the government, people feel that it takes away from their freedoms. Nonetheless, America was established upon freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. People want to live this way along with protection from danger.
In a time when hope seemed so far away and happiness was just a dream, Franklin Roosevelt stepped into the lives of those who cried out for freedom. As president, Roosevelt was tasked with the unimaginable; to revive America from the Great Depression and bring it up out of the ashes. The New Deal was a program Franklin Roosevelt initiated that changed the way people thought about freedom because the government became heavily involved with promoting agricultural and industry recovery, providing relief and aid through various programs, and assisting the banking industry. While freedom was previously associate with little government interference, as programs like the National Industry Act of 1933 and Wagner Act were established by the government,
The first time I ever experienced freedom was when I came to America. Sometimes freedom ain 't really for all, you still have to follow all rules, and obey your parents. The word *Freedom* means to me is that you may have the right to do what you think is right, and you don’t really have to be one of those people out there that have no right. Even if you don’t have any right you can always dream, and experienced from the people around you, and your friends. When people always tell me what’s right, or wrong, that annoys me.
Freedom is something that should be given and not earned yet many struggle just to preserve their
Freedom. America 's gift to my generation. To be able to wake up every morning and do what I want, that is freedom. To step outside my front door and be able to chase my dreams and be what I want, that is freedom. To be whatever religion I desire, that is freedom.
Freedom, the Google describes it as the right to act, speak or think as an individual without restraint. Most Americans see it as a thing we have and they don't acknowledge it. Other counties like North Korea and Iran see it as a thing America takes for granted and what they yearn for. Me personally, I didn't give freedom any thought until recently when I saw in the news where there are some countries that are not allowed on certain websites solely because their government has it banned. When I think about freedom I can see all the privileges I have.
The American Slave Trade: Uncle Tom’s Cabin “Those who deny freedom to others, deserve it not for themselves” ― Abraham Lincoln, Complete Works - Volume XII. In other words, no one deserves freedom, if one person does not let someone else have it. Uncle Tom’s Cabin is an anti-slavery novel written by an American author named Harriet Beecher Stowe. The book is based on a true story which talks about Tom, who suffered from slavery, considering himself as black skinned colored.
America is a land of opportunity and freedom. Men and women had to sacrifice their lives for what we take for granted today. After this trip I have a very good idea of how powerful our country is now but with the power comes struggle and death. Our country started from a small group of will driven men and now we are the strongest country in the world thriving off of 325 million patriots. Over the last three hundred years many strong men and women have stepped up and led America to victory, our founding fathers are just a few men to broke through the struggle and inspired us to be brave and fight for our country.
Liberty is what separate’s America from the rest of the world. It all began with the Revolutionary war when we fought the british for our independance. When we won the war we were able to created the laws and choices that would government our newly free nation. Than from those laws and choices we founded a document for amendments. To be an american is to have pride and liberty is what our nation does to benefit the people.
Freedom I believe once freedom has been won, it can be taken away. If you are being bad or not following the rules, than you should not have the rights to do what you want. Freedom has been given to you for a reason, and you need to use it for that reason. I believe it should be taken away because sometimes freedom shouldn’t always be “free.” You should be limited on what you get to do.
Freedom is never given. Everyday, many people fight for it, even people from our own country. There are may American soldiers overseas fighting to protect our freedom. Freedom is never just given to people, if one truly wants the be free, then one must be ready to fight for it. Freedom was never achieved by those simply wanting it, it was achieved by those who fought for it.
Freedom is the right to do what you want, is right to live where you want, is right to choose the religion that you want and freedom is right to eat, learn, drink what you want. There is one thing that limits our freedom: someone else’s freedom. According to a Boğaziçi University student Arda Seyhan, “We can live free by respecting other people’s freedom. We are living in a community which we all need people around us, we can not just ignore other’s freedom and do what we want to do for our freedom.” We should consider other people's rights.
In 1787, our founding father’s agreed to write a list of principals for keeping people free. Freedom must be limited. People can not just say they are free. You can not just kill or violate just for freedom. There should be respect for people’s wants and needs.
