What is stress? Most people don’t know a lot about stress. They have thoughts maybe questions about it but they don’t actually know much about the subject. In some cases stress is actually pretty hard to explain to people that don’t really understand the concept. Stress is a concept that most people can process. In my case I don’t fully understand it ether even though I have stress. Stress is pressure or force that is overcoming the body. Example of stress can be rocks pressing down on top of the earth. Psychologists define stress as the demand made on an organism to be able to adjust. Rathus the Author of the book Psych say that there is many reason that causes stress like, “75% of people say it’s money, 70% say work, 67% of the people say the economy, 58% is relationships, 57% Family responsibilities, 53% health problems dealing with the family, 53% personal health problems, 49% being able to keep a job, 48% how much the house costs, 32% personal safety.” (Rathus, A. 2009). It was more of trying to keep yourself safe. Scientists have come to prove that “Stress is not a state of mind but something measureable and dangerous.” (L., 2011). Scientists are starting to show how badly stress is lethal to humans.
