The Federal Theatre Project was a New Deal plan, administered by the Works Progress Administration (WPA), during the Great Depression. The FTP came about during the height of the Great Depression, 1935, only four years before the Depression came to an end. But the definition of job in the Webster’s dictionary is: the work that a person does regularly to earn money; a duty, task, or function that someone or something has; something that requires very great effort. While that is what anyone would generally tell you the definition of work is, I believe it goes beyond that definition and has far more meaning than to earn money. Work is more than a way to earn money or having a job; it is a way of life. You cannot just simply say that you have a job you have to work to have a job.
