President Roosevelt was a president that wanted to make America great again. Through his multitude of progressive and usually controversial legislations and policies, Roosevelt managed to steer America away from the decadence of the gilded age and steered her towards a glorious path of greatness. through revolutionary use of governmental power such as using the sherman trust act, threatening the privatization of natural resources and the conservation of natural. Roosevelt understood how degenerate the trust monopolization was towards the free market and made the bold move to go against the corporate giants which dominate the market and corrupted its inherent freedom, using his glorious presidential power and the Sherman trust act to remove their monopolies and furthermore enacted the Hepburn act to crush the …show more content…

Roosevelt demonstrates his utmost respect for the working man with his mitigation of the anthracite coal miners and the corporate giant J.P. Morgan,which at the time owned the coal. Roosevelt managed to sit the two parties down and made them hash out the issues which resulted in the coal workers getting a raise and less hours worked., furthermore this allowed the price of coal to stay stable in America. Another way Roosevelt aided the working man was with his revolutionary Meat inspection act and the pure food and drugs act, which would inform the ignorant consumer of what their food contained and furthermore would create a semblance of sanitary conditions in the meat production industry. This would allow the working man to thrive in the urban conditions that were currently dominating the American social landscape, enabling the working man, the pillars of society, to have the assurance that them and their family were eating proper sanitary and non toxic
