Everyone has a different body shape and measurement, and it is hard for retailers to satisfy every customer with a perfect sizing. Retailers have their own size measurements, and people eventually buy clothes at various sizes. Jeans and pants are the one of the garments that most people try on before purchasing, because the silhouette and the fit changes depend on the measurements. Thus, I went to the three different manufactures to compare the fit of three pairs of jeans. One of the reasons why expensive lines tend to run large is because “[they] are sometimes referred to as being vanity sized because they appeal to the vanity of customers who want to think of themselves as wearing a small-labeled size” (Brown & Rice, 2014). Also, on the other hand, low price lines generally “tend to run small—smaller than most other garments of the same-labeled size—in an effort to conserve fabric” (Brown & Rice, 2014). It turns out that my comparison of the three different pairs of jeans prove that the statements by Brown and Rice are true because STROM and Abercrombie & Fitch are a little high price lines while H&M is obviously a low price line. The STROM jeans were $184.00, the Abercrombie & Fitch jeans were $58.00, and the H&M jeans were
