Comparative Essay
Between the novel and the movie, ‘Animal Farm’ includes many differences and similarities. This text looks at both the differences and similarities of key points from Animal Farm. The key points of the similarities and differences of the novel and movie is; the characters, the setting and the plot. The way that the characters are made to behave, the setting of Animal Farm, and what happens during the book and the movie are the key points in this essay. To an extent, there are many different similarities and differences between the novel and the movie.
In the novel and the movie, the characters are portrayed differently and similarly. This done by the way that the author/director will have the viewers seeing the animals. The animals are viewed differently to favor the way that the viewer sees them, either through the novel or the movie. To begin, some of the animals were not in the book or, for example Mr. Whymper is not present at all in the movie and is present in the book. Another example of a difference in a major character was Old Major, in the book Old Major dies a couple days after the meeting, whereas in the movie he dies during the movie from a

A major difference between the movie and the book is when old Major dies and a similarity of Animal Farm is the building of the windmill. In the novel Old Major dies 3 days after his speech about his dream, whereas, he dies during his speech when he is shot accidently by Mr. Jones, this is done because Old Major, was not very important in the movie instead of the book. On the other hand, the building of the windmill is similar in the movie and the book. The windmill is being rebuilt multiple times because it has been blown up by Mr. Jones. This paragraph shows that there are similarities and differences in the plot of Animal Farm, these are being shown differently and similarly between the movie and the
