Thoughts on Cyberbullying Do you think individuals should be prosecuted for statements being made on social media? Some people could neglect the thoughts of someone being prosecuted over something that happened on the Internet. Some statements can make someone’s life absolutely miserable. Everyone needs to watch what they say on the Internet and think about other peoples feelings. To start off, cyber bullying has to do with slandering, flaming, or insulting someone in a public area. Lots of emotions and feelings happen to the person being cyber bullied that’s associated with the receipt of a message. Due to the ability to maintain anonymity on the Internet a target may never know or contact face-to-face. Cyberbullies even pretend to be other people over the Internet. Many cyberbullies digitally edit and distribute embarrassing pictures of someone online. Cyberbullies harass and torture others on the Internet. Source #3 states, 60% of the targets said that their online experiences as a target of cyber bullying affected them at school, home, and with friends, and reported experiencing feelings of frustration, anger, and sadness.

Cyberbullies make clubs to get more people involved on harming another individuals. Source #3 states, the number of bystanders is limited to whoever is present at the time of the incident. Many targets being cyberbullies are most likely in deep depression due to all the hurt and torture. The NY state senators punish people for allowing NY citizens to join their groups online. If other cyberbullies join groups online it will make it even worse for the target.
