In the last decade, we have seen a lot of violence, such as bombings and shootings around the world. One of the leading causes of such crime is bullying. The question is, whether bullying is the cause of this mayhem,or not? There are lot of arguments across the world if bullying should be considered as an act of violence. Many scientists believe that bullying does affect real world violence. Research shows that, 89% of scientists agree that bullying does affect real world violence. Bullying is not good for children to take in because they can turn into bullies themselves and gain a low self esteem.

There are many types of bullying. The most common type of bullying is verbal. Verbal bullying happens face to face and often has a large audience. Another type of bullying is, physical bullying. This is a very high number compared to a study taken in 2011 where only 13 % of kids for grades 6 through 12 experienced bullying. Researchers are still trying to figure why this number has increased by so much. Most researchers believe that technology has played a role in increasing bullying rates. But there is not enough evidence to back up this claim. 20% of kids from grades 9 through 12 experience bullying. Surprisingly, this number has increased by only 2% from 2011. 75% of people have experienced bullying in their lifetime. This number has increased by 33 percent since 2011. Once again, researchers do not know why this number has not increased by so much. Bullies, are usually bigger, taller, and stronger than the targeted youth. A bullies personality is usually aggressive or impulsive. Poor adult supervision can lead to kids becoming bullies. Bullies attack others to avoid being attacked.
