(Worth, 2017, pp. 83-87) However, the Greenhill Community Center's Board is not effective in fulfilling their defined responsibilities. According to the case study, less than half of the thirteen trustees were active, and only some the six subcommittees were active. Fundraising on the part of the board was done when a specific purpose was involved which accounted for about 20% of the all income. (Worth, 2017, p. 172) One of the biggest obstacles that Leslie faces is the poor board-staff relationship. as well as the fact that people are resistant to change. This organization has had the same executive director involved with this organization for several years (Brodie, 2016), and had a counseling-style of leadership whereas Leslie is more direct and straight forward. It is important for Leslie to build a strong relationship with her staff and volunteers in order to be successful in implementing change.
