Protests were held that were against him being able to play in the NFL ever again. The NFL suspended him indefinitely because of his actions. He got a lot of hate on social media websites like Twitter and Facebook. Many Pittsburgh Steelers fans were upset that the team signed Vick as a backup quarterback in 2015. Also some people backed him up after he served his time and did extra things to help animals out and push to stop animal cruelty.
He received the starting quarterback position, where he led the team to the playoffs multiple time in a six year period. In 2007 Vick’s career took a drastic turnaround, when authorities showed up to his house, as “Davon Boddie, Vick’s cousin, was arrested on drug charges, he gave Vick’s property as his address” (“The Investigation”). When the cops arrived at his house they searched the property trying to convict Vick’s cousin, not Vick. Vick’s fate fell at his hands because during the search of the property the cops found many dogs to go along with a dog fighting ring. The dogs found were either malnourished, beaten, injured or even dead.
Five years later, in 2013, Michael Vick was ranked the most disliked player in the NFL, according to a Forbes survey. There are people who will update blogs and make videos as a relentless reminder of Michael’s sins. I understand the attitude of the people who are upset. Michael Vick made millions of dollars playing in the NFL and was willing to throw it away for killing dogs. It does not seem like it makes any sense.
Madison Bumgarner Mrs. Gallos English III Honors 22 March 2018 Is Your Service Dog Legally Certified? Even though many people believe emotional support dogs are considered service dogs and should have the same rights as the others, owners of service dogs are treated unfairly because of the increase in numbers of fake service dogs. This affects the ability for one to use a service dog to its full potential. People cannot be asked to leave a public place if the business thinks it is a fake dog because some service dogs are simply under-trained. The population of those using fake service dogs or emotional support animals are ruining the ability for the disabled to use them without being questioned.
“Owners are inadvertently "teaching" their dogs to go after these people” (Dr. P's Dog Training: Case Histories: Dog Gone Postal?). He/she may also act as an agitator to the dog. Say that a stranger pulls into your driveway, then steps out of their car, and starts walking, very quickly, towards your front door. “Since they have been bitten or chased by so many dogs, they are very leery. So they look sneaky” (Dr. P's Dog Training: Case Histories:
Unfortunately, some dogs are trained and used for fighting. Because of dog fighting, the images of certain breeds become tainted with terrible stereotypes that generalize the entire breed of dog as a dangerous, blood thirsty monster. The most popular example of this is pit bulls. The growing hype of pit bull stereotypes is becoming a real issue with shelters and pit bull owners. Shelters are over flooded with pit bulls resulting in approximately 2,800 pit bull euthanizations a day or 1 million a year
The Pitbull By Elijah Gibson Today was the best day ever I got to adopt my very first pet from the animal shelter I was so excited. To start off with, when we got there it was very noisy to where you could hear the dogs from the outside. Which meant there were so many of them it would be hard to choose one. I could tell that my mom was not happy about this because she had a headache so she wore earphones.
There are some places where dog fighting is legal such as Fila Brasileiro, Dogo Argentino, the Tosa Inu and the Presa Canario and much more. Dog fighting was originally in England (instead of dogs they used bears and other animals) but was later outlawed because they “made” a breed of pit bulls (Staffordshire Bull Terrier). After a dogfight if/when the dog(s) get hurt the owners don 't treat any of the injuries. If the dog(s) die in a fight it is known as the biggest disgrace that could happen in a fight. There are many types of dogfighting, such as dog baiting.
Existentialism and Ghost Dog The existentialist movement is primarily concerned with the idea of an authentic existence: living truly as yourself, recognizing the emptiness and meaningless of the world, and not trying to obtain meaning from religion, science, reason, or any established way of life. After a person has recognized the vast insignificance of all ways of life, and comes to the realization that all systems of life - whether religious or governmental or moral - are equal, they can begin to make choices in their lives with complete freedom. This individual must rely on themselves to determine what values should be adhered to, and what purposes are worth living for, separate from the conforms and pressures of society. An excellent example of what an
Dogfighting “Dogs are wise. They crawl away into a quiet corner and lick their wounds and do not rejoin the world until they are whole once more”(christie). When dog’s get hurt, they go hide from people till they feel better. They don’t want people to see them hurt.
Most of the dog fights happen in urban cities where there are so many stray dogs that if caught by animal control would be beyond saving so finding dog to put in fights isn’t hard at all. In the more rural areas dogs can be

When dealing with dog-to-dog aggression, it is important to listen to our dog. There are many reasons why a dog may act aggressively toward another. • He may be afraid. • He may be stressed because his space is being violated. • He may feel the need to dominate.
