Some mental illness includes depression, anxiety disorders, and addictive behaviors. A mental illness can make you miserable and can cause problems in your daily life, such as at school or work (Diseases & Conditions: Mayo Clinic, 2017). Exposure is the state of being unprotected and open to damage, danger, the risk of suffering a loss in a transaction, or uncertainty (Dictionary: Business Dictionary, n.d.). As stated before, the most prevalent form of domestic violence is physical abuse. It can, therefore, be linked, that if the most prevalent form of domestic violence is physical abuse then the main consequence of domestic violence will be physical abuse. Self-esteem issues were chosen by a flimsy 25.7% of the respondents. Self-esteem is the amount of respect or self-worth that a person has for themselves. People are often described as having either high self-esteem – meaning they think very well of themselves and their abilities – or low self-esteem – meaning they are filled with doubts and criticisms about themselves and their abilities.
