Since December 13, 1831 it has always been tradition for a political party to hold a convention to nominate a candidate to run for President. The conclusion of the convention is normally the nominated politician giving a speech where they formally accept their party 's nomination to run for president. This speech is very important as it officially starts a candidate 's election campaign and can be a defining moment for them as many potential voters could be watching the convention with the hope of being moved by the speech of the candidate. Make no mistake about it, Donald J Trump is a candidate that has the ability to fire his supporters up and get into his ideas. Throughout his speech, Mr. Trump electrified the crowd by speaking about issues that enchanted the people such as, immigration, economic troubles, and the email scandal of his likely opponent Hillary Clinton. He used these concerns to give the crowd the energy to exclaim chants like ‘USA!’ and they yelled for Hillary Clinton to be incarcerated. Being able to connect to supporters and energize them is a skill that any politician needs in order to progress. Having the reputation of being too serious and dull isn’t the best trait so; it appears that he adds certain details such as crime rates to allure those who are listening to his speech. At the same time Donald Trump was able to keep a formal tone that assured people that he was a legitimate candidate. When Donald Trump utilized his skill of communicating with the spectators to his best ability it injected a much needed sense of charisma that livened the arena. This skill can be used even further as an exciting speaker can interest a voter into favoring the candidate. With the energy that Donald Trump provided in his speech, he must follow up with a speech that contains greater appeal.
