I am going to explain why Donatello had an immense impact on the art and the artists of the Renaissance. Donatello was born in Florence, Italy in 1386. Throughout his life he made many famous paintings we today. He has always been apart of are historical figures. Donatello was a painter and sculptor. Some of his famous artwork are St. George Killing the Dragon,Saint George, David. When Donatello was 17 he went to a guild to learn sculpting and painting. He received training which allowed him to start his sculpting and painting journey he had in front of him. After his training he embarked on a solo career in the thirteenth century. Donatello first work was his most famous “David.” “David” is shown on his triumph victory against Goliath the tallest man in history. After Donatello's finished with his work later in 1416. Donatello dedicated his life to art and sculpting and continued his work as one. In 1411 to 1415 Donatello created his next work which is none other the “St.Mark” itself. “St.Mark” was one of Donatello's life size art works it was 7’9” tall. “St.Mark” was built at Donatello’s guild were he learned to paint and sculpting. Donatello used his skills and resources to create “St.Mark.” Donatello used his work to encourage the next generation of painters and sculptors. In 1418 Donatello was known for his fame. He was asked to do many artworks around his hometown. He used his works to make his town a better place.
