Some gave credit to their powerhouse offense, but many forgot that they had a stellar defense that seldom allowed opposing teams to score. Hope Solo, the goalie of the team, was the main reason why this defense looked amazing. She was named the best goalkeeper in the tournament. She stopped every shot in her way; she was almost god-like.
