Following the visit to the theme park “Dreamworld” there was plenty of potential risks identified, which could have had significant impacts on all parties who had entered the premises of the theme park.
Risk one
The first issue that I encountered was a pothole, which made the ground level uneven. The hole was not marked with bright colours to make it evident to all civilians in the theme park that it was a hazard, therefore leaving it susceptible to creating harm. Potential risks that could have been obtained by the pothole was a trip leading to sprains, strains and even broken bones. The likelihood of this occurring is likely and the severity can range from minor - significant depending on the way someone could have fallen and the impact obtained from the force following their fall. To minimise the risk, the pothole should have been clearly marked with a bright yellow colour, so that it can attract the attention of stakeholders so they are aware of the potential risk, to avoid it. To eliminate the risk completely.

The wet floor was present in an area, which was predominately occupied by children. There was no “Caution Wet Floor” sign notifying the public, which maximised the potential risk. The likelihood of a slip occurring is likely, as eager children would be running aimlessly to different attractions, whilst their parents would be running also trying to keep up. The severity of the risk would range from minor to significant, depending on the way you fall and if you were in motion or not. An example of a significant consequences that could have been obtained are broken limbs. Preventative measures to avoid the risk of a slip in the future is to display a “Caution Wet Floor” sign, this will enable everyone to be aware that the floor is slippery and could potentially lead to serious injuries if a stakeholder were to
