The Importance of E-Commerce The term E-commerce was first known in 1991, when the Internet was opened to commercial use. However, thirty years ago, some forms of business transactions were already conducted electronically, such as phone call or fax, which existed long before the Internet became popular and useful. But electronic business activities at that time are hardly use by a small business, they are mainly conducted in large companies. Although businesses were constructed electrically, people at that time still faced a lot of difficulties, such as transferring money from one country to another, or by shipping documents in different languages to different land. Therefore, after the invention of E-business, it makes business transaction become much more convenient than the past and can benefit every types of users. The terms E-commerce and E-business are used interchangeably. To demonstrate, E-commerce is a conduction of business transaction over the Internet. Likewise, E-business is the broader scope of maintaining stakeholder relationships by using the Internet, such as giving feedback and sending documents.
