IDEA OR PRACTICE BEING USED: The district worked collaboratively with teachers to develop personalized learning for all educators to help with using new technology in their classroom. Educators were given an opportunity to teach learning sessions about something they feel they do well or choose learning sessions relevant to where they were with the ease of using technology using the SAMR model. Teachers could also create a TEPS project that involves exploring an educational project that can improve the classroom, and they earn graduate hours. ASAM 100 has been one of the most insightful classes I have taken in college—so far! Through this class, I was able to learn a great deal about my culture and about myself as a person. In retrospect to my first “Why ASAM?” essay, I still believe that it is important for everybody to learn about their culture sometime throughout their life. I was able to learn about various topics such as: the issues of my culture, the traditions of my culture, how others view individuals of my culture, and more. Throughout this class, I learned about the Model Minority Myth and its effect on individuals of Asian background, I learned about issues that other Asian Americans faced through the video, Asian American Voices, and I learned to grow as a writer.

Teach. Test. Repeat. This is the simplified modification of teaching being done in a high school now-a-days. “We are going to take a pop-quiz,” are words that most probably will not be spoken in a real-life job after college is over.
However, as the tasks have been slowly unwrapped and simplified by Mary Conrad in my EDU 702 seminar class, I am beginning to feel more comfortable with what is expected of me. I also came to the realization that as a future teacher, I was expected to do the exact same type of tasks in the classroom, but on a lesser scale. Going through the edTPA process has helped me become more aware of the responsibilities that I am expected to accomplish on a daily basis as a teacher. I also like to think of it as an opportunity to show off what I have learned from my academic experiences at Dominican University and how I have developed into an effective educator.
As a former AP Lang student, I feel that this class has been very beneficial for me in that it has allowed me to apply the techniques and strategies I learned last year toward more relevant subjects. Having the freedom of choosing topics to write about for our various essays made this class more enjoyable than the other English classes that I have taken. AP Lang focused heavily on the techniques of writing solid essays, but instead of writing about useful topics, we analyzed the short stories provided on the exams. Writing a personal narrative essay was very helpful in my college application process and allowed me to employ the same kind of strategies that I learned in class into my college essays.
After spending over twenty hours with all of these children, it was nice to see how much progress they have made academically not just from last year but just in the past
I never would have thought that I could teach another student their homework let alone help them understand it. I felt incredibly good after I knew that I had the chance to help multiple students not only with their homework but, help them make the right decisions when stuck in a predicament. It was an amazing feeling telling students how I achieved my goals and the process it took to achieve them while being at the University. The feeling you get when a person when someone looks up to you and they tell you gives you a feeling that is indescribable.

I thought the meetings would be awkward for me, as I didn’t get along with strangers too often. However, this experience has taught me to give everyone a chance and for that, I am truly thankful. Then again, I thought that LA 111 would be able to help me adjust to that problem of mine and it did eventually. Participating in the class helped me later articulate what I had learned to my member where or when it was necessary. I realize now that it had been my fear of being alone in this that had kept me from joining programs like this.
Furthermore, I had the opportunity to reveal test scores upon completion of their assessment test. In August of 2014 I traveled to Alajuela, Costa Rica, with a missions team from my church. Our team 's purpose was to aid the Rice and Beans Ministry. The director of RABMin, Fred Curry, warned us that not everyone that we would encounter would accept us with open arms. Fred knew that some locals would embrace us and dote on their American visitors but he also knew many people who wouldn 't. He conveniently failed to mention that some days we might return to base camp with our tail tucked between our legs and our feelings hurt.
A. OBJECTIVE AND THEORETICAL BACKGROUND In this individual reflective report, I will discuss how the Consulting Project course gave me opportunities to experience, explore and evaluate the real-life business case, how it strengthen my practical business knowledge, problem solving and leadership skills, and how the learning process will support my personal development goals. Everyone belongs to a social class. Whatever reality you been born in, is going to shape the way you believe and act. Each individual is different and unique, however, is not unknown that the experiences we had over our life shape our identity. In the movie Elysium, the Earth has been contaminated. Student teaching has fanned the fire of my passion for being a teacher and been a light onto the path of how to become the best I can be. Reflecting on each experience, the successful and the not so successful, has encouraged me to continue to persevere and grow from these challenges. Not only did I discover a great deal about teaching but I also learned a great deal about myself. I was able to surpass all the challenges that I have faced.
