1. Susan Sadocha works for the United States Department of Commerce which is a Federal Agency. She graduated from C.W. Post with a degree in International Business with a focus in policy and later received her graduate degree. She has been with the United States government for over 20 years. Her job has taken her all over the world, including 40 countries, and she had a temporary position in Russia. She originally wanted to be a diplomat but changed her mind and started working in various jobs before working for the US government. Her original position was with the USDA foreign agricultural service. She later changed positions and now is part of the education team for the US Department of Commerce.

There were many aspects that I found interesting about this field and the information that the speaker provided the class with. The fact that a person in this field needs to know the trade laws for all around the world is extremely interesting. It is important that the worker stays up to date on this information because it would have an extremely large impact on the business that they are working with if they do not know their information. These laws are always changing and every country has slight variations to each and every law. The amount of knowledge that a person in this field is very impressive. I also think it was very interesting that people in this field change what they are doing almost everyday. As Susan stated, she can go from going to trade shows to giving presentations. I think that this is very cool that they have the ability to change up their daily routines within their job. I also think it is extremely interesting that they are considered the country commercial guides. They look for companies that they want to help expand internationally so that the companies can make money and stay where they are, in this case long
