24 February 2015 Disadvantages to Public Schooling In America

America’s public schooling system is failing children miserably. Unfortunately, there several reasons why this is happening. One of the biggest disadvantages to the public schooling system in America is that its success is based off of how much money is available to school districts rather than the fact that we need to educate our kids to the best of their abilities. In addition, public schooling ignores students’ individual needs and their specific way of learning. Schools have based how they teach children on how they have always done it and that is that they all learn the same way. How are we, as a country, going to measure a child's knowledge based on something that may never be a resourceful aspect of their lives when they become adults? These standardized testings group kids together a “they are all the same” so they will all test the same. No, whoever came up with this notion is incorrect. We need to start embracing our childrens differences in america, their different ways of learning and movingforeard in subjects. We, as a country, need to start working to help our kids learn the things they will need later on in life, rather than trying to make them believe they all need to be the same. There are so many standards placed on these kids, some of them including AIMS, common core, PARCC, AZmerit, exc... The list goes on.. There is no consistency for these children, the constant change is what will fail them now. There is no structured, tested, full proof way of educating our kids so that they will know how to be successful adults later in
