You Are Dovahkiin Recently Bethesda creators of some largely known game series such as, the Fallout series and the Elder Scrolls series. About one month ago on October 28, 2016, The newest edition of the Elder Scrolls “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” was remade for the Xbox One, PS4 consoles, and redone for higher end PCs. This new remake now called “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition” came with some perks that may affect some more than others. Some of the major differences include, the ability to mod the game on consoles, the updated graphics, and that it comes with all the possible DLC for 60$. This is not a change for PC players but for a Console player it could be the only reason they get Skyrim Special Edition. There are more than 2035 mods for the Xbox One, 1283 mods for the PS4. On PC there are over 45000 mods on the Nexus website for Skyrim. Mods are modifications to the original games, on PC there is almost no limitations, but on console there are some limitations mostly for PS4’s version because Sony decided that if they were to allow mods the mod creators would be limited to only using textures and models from the game itself and there would be no way to bring other textures into the game, but for PC and Xbox One the possibilities are almost endless because of the ability to import textures from different games and even custom made textures. This is the main reason that the PS4 has less mods than the other systems that the game is on. In the Special Edition, they added a “god ray” effect, this makes the environment of the world look very realistic, especially versus the older version. They have also added some small details, for example for the console version when you shoot down a dragon it now leaves a trail, before that effect was only seen on PC. Bethesda has not changed graphics for character models as much as they did for the graphics for the background, this change makes rendering now further by default, this is more intensive on whatever system it is played on but it all seems to work smoothly and its load times are long but not as much as it used to be
