Elementary Education and Composition Composition II is required around college and universities across the U.S., because the tools you learn are used in most careers around the world. Whether it’s composing a letter or preparing instructions for your business, you are using composition techniques. Being an elementary education major, I am going to be using several composition procedures, such as composing a newsletter for the school, writing a letter to parents, preparing instructions for assignments, and even teaching how to write a sentence or paragraph correctly. Teachers have to be able to write letters effectively and correctly to their student’s parents. You never know when one of your students will act up during class and you need to send a note home. You need to be able to address who you are writing the note to, include the information in an effective manner, and conclude the letter with a sincere ending, and signature. Teachers also want to be sure to spell each word correctly, and use correct punctuation to their student’s parents. Teaching a student to write a full and detailed sentence is important. They have to know how to write a sentence to be able to correctly read, and understand something. Also the teacher is responsible for teaching the child how which words to use in certain situation, and how to spell them.
